Description:
The Municipality of the District of Chester (MODC) owns and operates the Kaizer Meadow Environmental Management Centre (KMEMC) located at 450 Kaizer Meadow Road, Sherwood, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. This facility primarily serves residents of Lunenburg, Kings, and Annapolis Counties. MODC is seeking to pre-qualify bidders for full-time inspection and testing services for the construction of Cell #4B at KMEMC. The project consists of constructing approximately 15,000 square meter MSW landfill cell to NSECC requirements as well as related earthwork and storm water infrastructure. CBCL Limited is the Engineer for this construction project and the selected bidder will coordinate their activities with the Engineer to ensure the work is carried out conformance to NSECC and contract requirements. This work is time sensitive as MODC expects to issue a tender for construction of Cell #4B shortly with construction to start in October 2025.
