Tender are invited for Kinsmen Aquatic Centre Waterslide PROJECT
Project Description : The City of Lacombe is soliciting proposals to add in 1-2 waterslides; address the current ductwork limitations; address viewing area needs, lifeguard administration area, and pool storage solutions to replace and/or expand current on-deck storage. The 2013-2023 Recreation and Culture Master Plan lists leisure aquatics as the top indoor facility priority. The addition of 1-2 self-contained waterslides to the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre will promote more family-friendly year-round recreation opportunities for residents and visitors. A waterslide is a cost-effective addition as it uses a lower volume of water and can be connected to an existing mechanical and filtration system. No additional staff may be required to add this feature as it could use a red/green light control system and a self-contained run-out flume.
