Description : The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to seek a qualified playground construction company to design a new playground, remove the existing structures, and supply and install the new structure(s) and amenities for a safe and enjoyable neighbourhood play area for children and families for many years to come. Replacement of Kew Gardens playground shall be done with similar and improved versions of play units, accommodating comparable ages while adding two pieces of adult aerobic exercise equipment. Although this playground is in close proximity to others and shall be unique, swings and a basketball hoop are important to include in the design. A total budget, not to exceed $150,000 plus GST, is allocated towards removing, designing, purchasing and delivering the equipment, protective surfacing, and borders applicable to the project. Price is to include removal and disposal of existing playground structures and horseshoe pits, freight to site, offloading and storage if needed, installation, concrete, auguring, removal of tailings, installation of protective surfacing, and installation of borders.
