Description:
PurposeThis Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for a General Contractor for the E030-00 Junction Recovery and Wellness Community Centre Project. Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has acquired a 6,848 sq. ft. property at 923 East Hastings in Vancouver to establish the Junction Recovery and Wellness Community Centre (Junction). The Junction is a first-of-its-kind Recovery Community Centre designed to help participants strengthen their recovery capital and overall wellness. It serves as a hub of community-based support for individuals aged 19 and older who self-identify as maintaining or seeking recovery or wellness from substance use. The Centre fosters the development of personal, social, and community resources. VCH is now seeking the services of a qualified General Contractor to carry out the renovation in alignment with the approved design. The scope of the project includes selective demolition and interior renovation to suit the program-s needs. The proposed unit is located on the ground floor, with a mezzanine level above.The ready-for-takeover date is anticipated to be May 1st, 2026.
The Tender must include:A bid bond in compliance with the requirements outlined in Section 3.3.Confirmation of surety letter or letters in compliance with the requirements outlined in Section 3.10 with respect to the performance bond and labour and material payment bonds required under the terms of the Contract.

The Bidder must confirm their Intention to Bid no later than two (2) Working Days (to the hour) prior to the BOBS closing date and time as per the requirements in the BOBS Rules of Procedure.
