Description:
The Resort Village of Cochin is seeking bids for all work required for the rehabilitation of the Jackfish Lake Breakwater. The existing Breakwater, located at the mouth of Lehman Creek between Jackfish and Murray Lakes, supports navigation, tourism, environmental and economic interests in the area. The structure has fallen into disrepair and requires rehabilitation work so it can continue its intended function well into the future. The successful contractor will be required to complete all work required for the project which includes, but is not limited to: laydown area preparation, care of water and sediment control measures, removal and disposal of old retaining wall structure, dredging and disposal of unsuitable material, excavation on creek side to bedrock as common fill, additional common fill supply and install, geotextile and bedding gravel supply and install, heavy rock riprap install (Owner supply), steel sheet pile supply and install for new ring, creek mouth and lake dredging as common fill for ring, road gravel supply and install as finished surface on entire breakwater, For full project details and technical specifications, please refer to the attached tender document, design drawing and other supporting documents.
