- The District of Saanich is undertaking a project to replace the existing timber frame bridge that crosses Tod Creek at Durrance Road with a clear span pre-cast concrete box stringer bridge. This bridge serves as the main access to 22 rural properties off Wallace Drive and was identified for replacement during a structural assessment review. The new bridge will feature 2-way vehicular travel and a pedestrian walkway on one side. The new bridge is designed to increase the span width over the creek where new in-stream bed material and rip rap will be placed around new steel piles and concrete abutments.
