- Description:
- The ministry seeks to solicit proposals to provide Training for Work (TFW) program, Integrated Training in Calgary, Airdrie, Medicine Hat, and Lethbridge (surrounding rural areas for all communities). The minister intends to identify and select the most qualified proponent(s) to provide the programmingdescribed in this RFP. Programs are to support local labour market needs and priorities based on a finite timeframe described within this RFP. The project will deliver full-time training under the Integrated Training (IT) stream further described in IT Guidelines. The Integrated Training program offerseligible Albertans competency-based training for skills needed in real-work situations by offering occupation-related skills, work experience, and essential skills. Integrated Training supports the connection between training and the application of new skills in real-work situations. This programrequires close relationships between training providers, employers and industry. Through these programs Albertans will build an understanding about the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed in Alberta's workforce and will meet local labour market demands. The length of the training will be tailoredin conjunction with the identified sector requirements and skill gaps identified and will not exceed 26 weeks.
