Description:
This Request for Tenders (the “RFT”) is issued by the Corporation of the County of Peterborough (the “County”) for the provision of the Indian River Bridge Replacement.
The following is a brief description of the work, but not limited to:
Establish traffic control and detour to accommodate full road closure;Supply and install environmental / watercourse protection system.Supply and install dewatering system to allow construction to be completed in the dry.Remove existing single-span, single lane steel truss superstructure;Excavate and remove reinforced concrete abutments and wingwalls;Construct new concrete abutments and wingwalls;Design and install approach retaining wall and reinforced soil slope walls;Design, fabricate, deliver, assemble, and install a new single-span, two-lane permanent modular bridge with steel decking having an anti-skid surface including code compliant TL-2 barriers;Install new concrete approach slabs;Pave road approaches; andInstall new steel beam guiderail on approaches with appropriate end treatments.More detailed requirements are set out in Part 5 Specifications Schedule and Part 6 Supplemental Special Provisions.
