Notice is hereby given by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) of its intent to directly award a contract to the following supplier to provide Online Identity Verification Services. 2859824 Ontario Limited C/O Interac Corp. (“Interac”) Royal Bank Plaza, North Tower 200 Bay Street, Suite 2400 PO Box 45 Toronto, Ontario, M5J 2J1, Canada Rationale: Interac is presently the sole service provider of a solution that enables individuals to have their identity verified through a secure and trusted online, real-time, Canadian financial Institutions- authentication service, qualifying it to “Identity Assurance Level (IAL) 3”, or “Security Level 3“. Security Level 3 is currently required by ICBC to allow eligible customers to renew their vehicle annual insurance online via a mobile application and/or via a web browser. The proposed contract term is two years, with an option to be renewed for one additional year, at ICBC-s discretion. The projected contract spend is estimated to be CDN$1M for the first two years, or CDN$1.5M for the total three years, plus applicable taxes.
