- VIA Rail wishes to purchase hydraulic energy absorbing devices (buffer stops) for its Montreal maintenance center to stop equipment runaway in case of emergency in order to provide for the safety and security of the public and personnel at VIA and protection of property, equipment and the environment in railway operations. In order to submit a Tender, the Tenderer must comply with the following mandatory criteria:-All must be delivered to the Montreal Maintenance Center no later than twenty (20) calendar weeks after contract signature.-The drawings/design must be approved by an engineer with a valid license in Canada.-The engineer responsible for the design must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the railway industry.
