Description:
Portage College is calling for Mechanical Contractors to assist us with the completion of two (2) projects, for the Server Room Area: A. PRJ#2025-008 - HVAC Modification for Exhausting Heat.  A method of exhausting heat from the Server Room, in the event of the Server Room Air Conditioning Units failure. A simple use of ducts (existing or new) and fans to remove the hot air for emergencies only.  For the new emergency ducting, we request a system not requiring complexity, such as, 3 phase electrical or refrigeration. KEEP IT SIMPLE.  This work must be completed prior to June 15, 2025. B. PRJ#2025-CMR - Server Room Air Conditioning & UPS Replacement.  Removal of existing units, while maintaining AC in the Server Room. We expect to remove and replace one (1) unit as at time, not to interrupt the College-s Business. All IT servers must remain operational during this project, with as little dust as possible.  Replace existing AC Units with Two (2) Vertiv PDX Air Cooled Server Room AC units, Model Number: PX018UA1BP034H or equivalent.  Remove old condenser units and lift new condensers to roof and connect power connections. Include price for crane to lift units.  Proper recovery of refrigerants.  New Electrical and Ducting as required by the project (BMS by current vendor).  Pressure test existing refrigerant lines, flush pipe to clean old oil out of system and fit to new units.  Pressure test entire system, evacuate to 500 microns and field charge refrigerant into unit....
