INTRODUCTION
Student Transportation Services of York Region (‘the Consortium-) is a collaborative venture of the York Catholic District School Board and York Region District School Board. It is the objective of the Consortium to provide safe, reliable, efficient transportation for the students of York Region. The Consortium is interested in working with Proponents who will work in conjunction with the Consortium to provide exceptional service to all its stakeholders. Prior experience is essential to meet the requirements of this RFP. If there is supporting evidence, the Consortium may exclude a Proponent from participating in this RFP on grounds such as:
· Bankruptcy or insolvency;
· False declarations;
· Significant or persistent deficiencies in performance of any substantive requirement or obligation under a prior contract or contracts;
· Final judgments in respect of serious crimes or other serious offences;
· Professional misconduct or acts or omissions that adversely reflect on the commercial integrity of the Proponent; or
· Failure to pay taxes.

Using this RFP process, the Consortium plans to secure Agreements for student transportation services with more than one Proponent for the following two vehicle classifications:
· 24 Passenger Buses
· 70 Passenger Buses
