Description : The University of Calgary (UCalgary) is requesting proposals for a high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM). The HRTEM System must consist of, but not be limited to, the following major components, complete with all software, hardware, peripherals and interfacing necessary to make a fully integrated system, including a computer system and software, a data processing system, a sample introduction system (motorized rotation and 2-axis tilt), a field emission electron gun, capabilities for transmission electron mircroscopy and scanning transmission electron microscopy, capabilities for electron diffraction, energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, capabilities for electron energy loss spectroscopy, a detector, a vacuum system, a chiller, all connections to the instrument, system implementation and training, service and support, system performance specifications.
