Description:
Deliverables: The high-resolution gamma spectrometer and LN2 recycler system (later to be known as the system) will be used for the verification and determination of gamma emitting radionuclides in different sources and materials. The system is going to be used in the analysis of environmental (soil, water, air filter, etc.) and radioactive waste characterization (solid or liquid) samples in different geometries such as 10 mL rounded plastic tube, disk and cylindrically shaped sources and in variable (low to high) count-rate. The equipment must include a LN2 recycler system.Mandatory Requirements:Gamma counter with LN2 recycler cryostat1. The system must include all hardware, software and services listed in this proposal (turn-key solution). A single contract will be awarded to the top ranked proponent for all equipment, software and services listed within the tender documentation. 2. Technical requirements 2.1 The system must include a high purity detector for high absolute counting efficiency and low-level gamma ray spectroscopy with an energy range of 40 keV-10 MeV, or better. The detector must also be in a near 4π geometry for maximum absolute counting efficiency.2.2 The system must include a low background detector accompanied by oxygen-free high conductivity (OFHC) copper endcaps with low-background, and high purity aluminum well tubes.
