Synopsis: SHA intends to reduce overall costs while improving quality and service through technical innovation. As part of this effort, SHA has initiated a proposal to begin Hemoglobinopathy testing for Newborn Screening using Dried Blood Spot Cards provided by laboratory services in Regina and invites vendors to provide proposals for the supply of a Hemoglobinopathy Analyzer and associated supplies.

This RFP sets forth the key requirements for the Hemoglobinopathy Analyzer for Newborn Screening using Dried Blood Spot Cards and solicits a detailed response from vendors that shall include service, quality, technology enhancements, pricing, and performance commitments. The testing will be performed at Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory (RRPL), Regina. Please note, the current Lab Information System (LIS) vendor for Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory is LabWare.
