Description : Request for Proposals Building Renovations Background The National Association of Friendship Centres is a network of over 100-member Friendship Centres and Provincial/Territorial Associations from coast-to-coast-to-coast. For over half-a-century, Friendship Centres have been facilitating the transition of Indigenous people from rural, remote and reserve life to an urban setting. For many Indigenous people, Friendship Centres are the first point of contact to obtaining referrals to culturally based socio-economic programs and services. Scope of Service NAFC is seeking a firm to perform extensive renovations to our main office building, located at 275 MacLaren Street. Specifically, we are looking for: Boardroom renovation The foundations under our boardroom are aged and require replacing We are considering a full tear-down and rebuilding of the boardroom to accommodate larger groups Windows and insulation Most of the building-s windows and frames are aged and require replacing There are numerous sites of poor insulation, causing strain on our heating and HVAC systems External façade There are multiple sites on the brick walls and stone façade that are aging and require repair Health, safety and accessibility Repair or replace fire escape as appropriate Remove lead pipes and asbestos Make building accessible per AODA requireme... - Documents:
