RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF BIG RIVER, NO. 555 TENDER FOR GRAVEL CRUSHING Sealed tenders in an envelope clearly marked “Gravel Crushing” and addressed to the Rural Municipality of Big River, No. 555 will be received by the RM of Big River, No. 555 until 9:00 a.m., CST, on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, for traffic gravel and crushed rock to be crushed and stockpiled on site at SE-36-56-09-W3rd. The amount of gravel required: approximately 25,000 to 30,000 cubic yards of ¾ inch crushed road gravel with 3,000 of that being ¾ inch crushed rock. Bidders should refer to “Type 105 Specification for Traffic Gravel found in Table 4300.3.T1 in Section 4300.3 of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure Standard Specifications Manual” to determine what sieves and other equipment will be used in the crushing. This is an old pit that is bare and ready for crushing. Bidders are responsible for inspecting the site to determine the nature of the aggregate to be crushed. A site inspection can be arranged with the Foreman by contacting the Municipal Office. Crushing to be completed on or before October 31st, 2025; Screening may be required. Contractors should include a separate price for screening, in the event it is required; Jaw may be required. Contractors shall include what size jaw and/or grizzly they will provide for the crush; Stockpile will be measured for quantity by a third party hired by the RM of Big River.
