- GOC6647400 Boiler Replacement - The intent of this project is to replace the existing cast iron sectional boiler which is past its lifecycle. The current boiler is a HydroTherm R-2508 (serial number CHC1080). A recent maintenance visit by an HVAC vendor confirmed that the system was 44 years old. The boiler should be replaced with high efficiency system which will require new piping an d venting to meet current codes and standards. The existing system has standalone controls and does not have a central Building Management System (BMS). Due to the age of the site and the system, there is asbestos in the piping insulation that would need to be abated during the tear out. As per RCMP policy outlined in PMM 3.3 Building Standards and Guidelines ("Unclassified Version"), the Fit-Up Standards will be applied to all detachment construction, renovation, retrofit and rehabilitation projects.Ancillary equipment/devices are to be included in the project scope as necessary to ensure a fully functional system (electrical, controls, piping, venting, etc).GOC6645240 Mid-Life Reno - The intent of this project is to renovate the office area and washrooms (excluding any upgrades to cell blocks) to improve the workspace and refresh the washroom facilities.
