- The intent of this project is to upgrade the exterior entrance to the detachment. Currently there are cement steps and a ramp to the entrance. This upgrade would need to focus on accessibility and security. Project scope is to include a full replacement of the accessibility ramp, stairs, handrails, landing, and walkway. Accessibility ramp to be upgraded to meet code. Tactile attention indicators to be considered. Consultant to determine cost implications of National Building Code Accessibility Standards vs. CSA-B651. Effect on landscaping to be considered/discussed during design.
