- Scope of Work/Overview:The domestic hot water for the building is supplied by two AERCO model KC1000 natural gas fired boilers of 275 kW (output), located in the boiler room. The domestic hot water produced is circulated and stored in two A.O. Smith 350A storage tanks of 1,324 liters (350 gal) capacity. The domestic hot water loop was configured to provide different temperature of hot water to the kitchen area plumbing fixtures (higher temperature) and to the washrooms plumbing fixtures (standard hot water temperature). Scope or work is to remove and replace the existing Aerco domestic hot water boiler with a new electric or heat pump heater. Preference is for electrification of the DHW boiler as per the per the 2020 Carbon Neutral Study. Connect the new DHW heater to the existing A.O Smith storage tanks. Ensure new equipment is integrated with the existing BAS including any equipment status monitoring and temperature sensors.
