- The work of the contract generally involves the following:• The supply and installation of a new 300mm diameter watermain along Glendon Road By open cut and horizontal directional drilling methods• The supply and installation of new Meter Chamber and appurtenances including electrical components• Coordination with Hydro One for electrical service to the new chamber• Restoration of disturbed areas including curb and gutter, sidewalk, asphalt roadway and topsoil and sod as required.• Hydrostatic and bacteriological testing of the new main, and• The protection of the natural environment throughout the Contract Limits, andThe contractor shall be responsible for complete restoration of all areas disturbed during construction.
