Project Description : Alberta Education-s Curriculum Division is currently in the process of redeveloping the provincial curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade 12. This involves moving provincial curriculum from a print-based production and delivery process to a digital format. This initiative includes, but is not limited to the following:· the redesign of standards, guidelines and processes for the development of future curriculum that are competency-focused and student-centered.· support working collaboratively with school authorities, business, industry and communities to improve educational outcomes for students. As part of the curriculum redesign, the Curriculum Division is developing the New LearnAlberta (http://new.LearnAlberta.ca) to support the work of staff and stakeholders in the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of provincial curriculum for K-12 in English and French. Curriculum includes programs of study, assessment, and learning and teaching resources.It is envisioned that the new LearnAlberta will enable learning and teaching resources to be accessed and utilized in innovative, efficient and purposeful ways.
