  • Repairs and upgrades are required to the fuel storage tanks as per the PSPC Audit (refer to the audit spreadsheet in Appendix D). The following deficiencies must be addressed as part of the project: Provide a monitored tank sump at the remote fill connection Connect Day tank overflow pipes directlyto the outdoor day tank Provide a vent connection to the atmosphere on the day tank from an independent port on the tank- Install pressure relief lines and valves between auto shut off valves throughout system install manual shut off valve inside the transition sump or at least 1m above grade Applyjoint on cracks in the concrete-Replace shut off valves with ULC listste valves Install level gauges for the day tanks Add additional pipe labeling marking contents and direction of flow throughout system. Install day tank leak sensor in a dedicated port-Install a pressure switch downstream of thepumps Remove single walled piping and relocate transition sump Consultant to conduct a thorough code review to ensure all code issues are addressed as part of project. Consultant is to consider the following options in Business Case Report:1) Status Quo2) Essential items as noted above3) Essentialitems + additional deficiencies if found as part of investigation; include repair options for cracks on concrete as this is an annual issue.
