- Description:
- The intent of this project is to have a qualified contractor complete the necessary repairs to the fuel storage system and vent piping in order to bring the building's fuel storage system up to code. The following repairs need to be completed to ensure code compliance: 1) the dry-break fitting does not appear to be installed for its intended use (requiring additional adaptor upstream and permitting fuel release into spill container) (SOR/2008-197 Sec. 14 1cCCME 5.2.3B139.1.0-19 4.1.1); 2) the vent pipe must not be smaller than the tank bung (SOR/2008-197 Sec. 14 1cCCME 5.2.3B139.1.0-19 10.5.1.4); 3) the vent pipes may not be within 2' of the vertical projection of the building opening below it (SOR/2008-197 Sec. 14 1cCCME 5.2.3B139.1.0-19 10.5.1.8iii). If the base building or tenant generator is required to be taken offline the project is to supply a temporary generator to ensure there is adequate emergency coverage.
