Description:
The Board is seeking the services of a pre-qualified Architectural Firm to provide architectural and consulting services including Design Development, assistance with Contract Documents & Tender development, and Construction & Contract Administration for the renovations as further specified herein.
The Successful Bidder will be required to design and administer the construction of the following scope.
The Primary Objective is to replace Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) panels also known as Siporex panels.
The Secondary Objective is to improve accessibility.
The Scope is:
Replace all existing RAAC in roof sections with steel deck.Structural enhancements to support new roof deck.Remove and reinstall existing mechanical HVAC systems New 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system.New Universal washroom.New stage lift.Barrier free exterior doors complete with openers and barrier free sidewalks.Replace asphalt play and parking areas.Install gold level pylon sign complete with digital display.Replace existing washroom vanities.Replace existing interior classroom doors.Replace primary electrical service to include existing loads and future portable classrooms.
This will be a multi-phase, multi-year project phased to cause the least impact to building users.
