Detailed_Description : The St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) an agency of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming is seeking to procure a suitable Vendor that will provide food and beverage services at Fort Henry National Historic Site (Fort Henry) in Kingston.
Scope of Work : The St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) is procuring a non-consulting service to provide food and beverage operations at three venues located at the Fort Henry National Historic Site. These venues are:• The Soldiers Canteen - Located in the Advanced Battery inside the Fort, this venue offers light fare food options and grab-and-go items such as sandwiches and drinks. Picnic tables are available for guests to sit and enjoy their meals. This is open during all operational hours of the attraction.• The Garrison Restaurant - Also located in the Advanced Battery, a short distance from the Soldiers Canteen, this venue provides a full sit-down menu with both indoor seating and an outdoor patio. This is open during all operational hours of the attraction.• The Great Hall - Situated adjacent to the north side of the Fort, near the main parking lot, this venue caters to private events such as weddings, corporate functions, and celebrations of life. It offers a wide-ranging menu tailored to diverse groups and requests, with options ranging from light stand-up snacks to multi-course formal meals. This venue hosts between 50 to 70 private events annually with a very heavy focus on weekends between April to October and December.Food and beverage services are a critical part of the attraction-s operations. With approximately 100,000 guests coming to the attraction annually, there is an expectation that these services are available.The contract start date will be April 1, 2027, however there is a need to award well in advance of this primarily for wedding and venue rental clients at the Great Hall. Awarding early will allow the incoming vendor to arrange for bookings starting in the 2027 season rather than rushing this at a later date or risking cancellation of booked events.
