- The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase the MACSQuant®Analyzer 10 from Miltenyi Biotec. The system will be used for quality control testing of clinical-grade cell therapy drug products manufactured by UCalgary and Alberta Health Services. As part of the final drug product release testing, the lab currently performs cell viability assessment and cell population phenotyping in collaboration with Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) using the MACSQuant10 Analyzer. To ensure seamless assay transfer between instruments and to achieve comparable, standardized results during inter-lab collaborations, UCalgary must purchase the same flow cytometer.
