• Project Overview:The Successful Proponent is to complete comprehensive hydrologic and hydraulic assessment(s) ofFourteen Mile and McCraney Creeks and update flood hazard modelling and mapping in accordancewith current guidelines, standards, and best practices. This includes:• Compiling and reviewing relevant background data• Assessing existing stormwater management facilities• Preparing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic modelling• Documenting and reporting study methodology and findings• Creating map sheets delineating the watersheds- flood plain and spill flood hazards• Supporting communication with key stakeholders• Participating in public engagementAll final reports and flood hazard map sheets are to be signed and sealed by a professional engineerlicensed by Professional Engineers Ontario.
  Study Purpose:The purpose of this Study is to comprehensively update flood hazard models (hydrology andhydraulics) and maps for the Fourteen Mile Creek and McCraney Creek watersheds (indicated inAppendix A, Figure 1). As part of this study, we will provide opportunities for stakeholder and publicengagement to share information and receive input.Modelling and mapping will include delineation of riverine flood plain hazards and spill flood hazards.Spills that could be unsafe for development because of flooding will be modelled and mapped fromtheir source to their ultimate receiver (i.e., a point downstream within the same watershed, LakeOntario or an adjacent regulated watercourse). The deliverables will be used by ConservationHalton-s Planning and Regulations program staff for decision making when development activitiesare contemplated in the mapped flood hazard. Following study completion and approval byConservation Halton-s Board, the flood hazard mapping from the study will be incorporated intoConservation Halton-s Approximate Regulation Limit (ARL) mapping.
