Description:
Fish Creek Provincial Park, situated in the southern part of Calgary, Alberta, is the second largest urban park in Canada and one of the largest in North America, covering 13.48 km2. The park features over 80 km of paved and unpaved walking, hiking, and bicycle trails of which connect the park to the city-s extensive trail system allowing visitors to access on‐site day-use facilities, and artificial lake and is home to a large variety of natural wildlife. Marshall Springs Day Use Area is typically used as trail head access into Fish Creek Provincial Park. This site currently does not have a washroom facilities and existing utilities. Due to increased use and high demand, the decision has been made to install a vault toilet facility. The objective of this project is to procure construction contractor services for the installation of a 4‐stall concrete vault toilet facility and select site furnishings at Marshall Springs Day Use Site. The successful proponent must ensure the new facility adheres to the Alberta Forestry & Parks standards. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for making all necessary adjustments to the site to accommodate the new vault toilet facility. The vault toilet facility shall provide a functional, safe, and compliant restroom facility that meets the needs of the visitors at Marshall Springs Day Site.
