Notice is hereby given that the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Rideau Recognitions Inc (the “Supplier”).

The high-level details of the contemplated contract are described in detail in the attached documents.

For decades, the British Columbia Office of the Fire Commissioner (OFC) has been issuing BC Long Service Awards to firefighters, including 25-year medals and 35-, 45-, and 55-year bars and pins. These awards are symbols of courage, bravery, and dedication, reflecting the selfless commitment that firefighters make to protect their communities. The OFC is now seeking to procure a new set of firefighter medals due to recent changes in legislation, transitioning from the Fire Services Act to the Fire Safety Act, which necessitates the creation of a new die and medal design.

The term of the contract is expected to be April 7th, 2025, to March 31st, 2026. The aggregate value of the contract is expected not to exceed, exclusive of applicable taxes $27,000.00. Final value of the contract may exceed this estimated if additional award orders are required during the term.
