Description:
The current state to track faculty hiring and milestones varies across faculties, utilizing systems and processes that are often unique to each. Processes use a variety of methods or systems for tracking and are using manual input by few or several employees through spreadsheets and emails, such as SharePoint sites, Access Database, and network shared drives as a document management repository. It's difficult to get a comprehensive overview of faculty, track trends, or determine their eligibility for career milestones and appointments. These processes are integral to the hiring, retaining, promoting, and tracking achievements of faculty members. The University of Waterloo currently has approximately 1300 regular faculty members and 400 definite term faculty members, and 600 non-faculty members include post-doctoral, research associate and visiting researcher.This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to find a single technology platform to manage faculty lifecycle activities including offering, tenure and promotion, sabbaticals, performance reviews, and administrative appointments.
