Description:
The Berwick Electric Commission (BEC), a municipally owned electric utility serving over 1,600 customers, is undertaking a modernization project at the Factorydale Hydroelectric Plant, located at 2545 Harmony Road, Aylesford, Nova Scotia. This initiative focuses on replacing outdated systems with advanced, high-performance technologies to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety while reducing maintenance requirements. The scope of this project includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of a new, fully integrated hydro-generation system. This system will incorporate state-of-the-art technologies designed to optimize water resource utilization, seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure, and facilitate ongoing maintenance by Berwick Electric Commission technicians. As part of the project, the decommissioning of existing outdated and damaged equipment is a critical step, and we will require the support of contractors to complete that part of the scope of work. Proponents are invited to submit proposals detailing their understanding of the project, technical approach, quality control plans, schedules, and cost estimates
