Description : Alberta-s provincial parks and recreation areas conserve our natural heritage and provide popular nature-based recreation opportunities to visitors from across the province and around the world. They also play a major role in Alberta-s tourism industry, providing opportunities for small businesses and having positive impacts on the economies of many local communities. Alberta Environment and Parks (the Province) is seeking business entities or non-profit organizations to provide facility operations and maintenance for the Jarvis Bay Operating Group. Wabamun Lake Facility Operating Group (FOG) consists of the single park of Wabamun Lake Provincial Park which is located approximately 60 kilometres west of Edmonton on Yellowhead Highway 16. The park is situated beside Moonlight Bay on the eastern side of Lake Wabamun. In addition to treed sites for camping, there are trails for hiking and biking, and a large beach area for swimming, boating and sailing. Average campground occupancy over the last 5 seasons is approximately 21,550 per year, plus an average of about 175 group camping nights annually.
