Project Description : Alberta-s provincial parks and recreation areas conserve our natural heritage and provide popular nature-based recreation opportunities to visitors from across the province and around the world. They also play a major role in Alberta-s tourism industry, providing opportunities for small businesses and having positive impacts on the economies of many local communities. Alberta Environment and Parks (the Province) is seeking business entities or non-profit organizations to provide facility operations and maintenance for the Jarvis Bay Operating Group.Overlooking the beautiful Sylvan Lake, Jarvis Bay Provincial Park offers a fully serviced campground and an ample trail system. Although there is no access to the lake from the campground, it is only a 10 minute drive to the main beach on Lakeshore Drive in the town of Sylvan Lake. With its close proximity to town amenities, Jarvis Bay Provincial Park is a great base for anyone wishing to spend time at one of central Alberta-s most popular lakes. Jarvis Bay is a family friendly campground with playgrounds for the kids and an interconnected trail system perfect for biking or hiking. All of the 195 campsites in the Jarvis Bay Campground are powered, with three being specifically dedicated as tent sites. Both Group Camping Area A and B accommodate a maximum of 10 units.
