Description:
This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for the selection of an electrical or lighting contractor for the Bella Coola Hospital Lighting Upgrade project at 1025 Elcho Street, Bella Coola., throughout main hospital building, exterior site areas, Facilities Maintenance building, and Staff Residence. The project includes:Lighting retrofits of existing interior luminaires, some interior replacement with new luminaires in service areas, and replacement of older egress signage throughout the main hospital building. Including cleaning of luminaires and diffusers.Lighting systems in all areas of the facilities will be impacted; patient, treatment, staff, common and public areas will all be actioned. Most work will be conducted within the existing housing, not requiring the ceiling or surrounding surfaces to be affected. Some minor repairs of surfaces in a few areas may occur: but not in patient or treatment areas.Replacement luminaire work will entail removing some surface or suspension mounted lighting systems with minor surface reclamation (mostly minor sanding and touch-up painting), new luminaires are to be installed in same location as existing and, wherever possible, reuse existing mounting systems. This work will be performed after-hours and will not impact patients, staff or treatments conducted in these areas. Areas of work will be HEPA vacuumed each shift. The anticipated overall ready-for-takeover date is September 30, 2025.
