BCC VVC - Hereditary Cancer and ACU Clinic Renovation PHSA - Provincial Health Services Authority

Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) intends to enter into direct negotiations and contract with Altek Construction Ltd for a full renovation project in a tenanted space. The scope of work includes construction of a housekeeping closet, HVAC upgrades, partial demolition, electrical upgrades, and installation of fixtures and finishes. The leased space is located at 750 W. Broadway - 4th floor, suite 402. The value of this contract is between $520,000.00 and $580,000.00 plus tax.
PHSA has chosen to negotiate and contract directly with Altek Construction Ltd for the following reasons:
•Altek Construction Ltd is the GC approved by the landlord to perform the service on the 4th floor and to have access to the 3rd floor for the proposed project service.
•The project involves significant electrical and mechanical work in the 3rd-floor tenant space, which operates as a clinic seven days a week. Altek Construction Ltd was responsible for the renovation of the space on the 3rd floor and has the credibility with the 3rd floor tenant to manage meticulous scheduling and adherence to stringent security measures to minimize disruption.
