Description:
The Corporation of the City of Mississauga (the “City”) invites Bids from qualified Bidders to provide External Claims Adjusting Services.
The Bidder must be licensed as an adjusting company by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA).
The Consultant (successful Bidder) will provide independent claims adjusting services to the City of Mississauga. The types of claims that may be assigned include, but are not limited to: property, municipal liability, automobile liability and physical damage, including transit fleet, transit accident benefits, environmental and crime.
Note: Adjusters cannot be subcontracted/outsourced on the City-s contract.
The claims adjusting services are based on three (3) categories as follows:
Category 1 - Municipal Liability, Including Automobile LiabilityCategory 2 - City Property DamageCategory 3 - Automobile - Accident Benefits**Category 3 will be part of the contract up to the time that all existing claims are settled. Any new claims for accident benefits are handled by the City's current insurer, which is subject to change based upon the needs of the City.
The City intends to award the contract up to two (2) highest ranked Bidders. The successful Bidder(s) shall provide services for all three categories as needed by the City.
