Description:
Manitoba-s Action Plan under the Canada-Manitoba Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement provides capital funding for the development and expansion of child care centers to increase access to licensed child care.

The School-Based Child Care Expansion Project enables public school divisions to develop or expand child care programming in schools or on school grounds with a goal of creating more than 2,600 new infant and preschool spaces, and 555 school age spaces over the next two years in collaboration with public school divisions on surplus land or in surplus building space.

To achieve the delivery of 29 stand-alone centers on school property for divisions across Manitoba, the province is issuing a tender for the delivery of bulk infrastructure to communities simultaneously, through joint process coordination, construction management, and design-build services.
