Description:
The work included in this Contract includes the supply of material, labour, and equipment for the complete construction of works in accordance with the accompanying plans and contract documents. The work includes but is not limited to the following: Alternative 1:
• Remove and store existing 125 mm dia. aluminum irrigation distribution piping onsite.• Reinstate all existing 125 mm dia. aluminum irrigation distribution piping.• Provisional item to replace damaged distribution piping.
Alternative 2:
• Remove and dispose of all filter distribution piping.• Supply and install new 125mm dia. irrigation distribution piping.• Provisional Items as shown in the Tender Form.
Items Common to Alternative 1 and 2:
• Strip and stockpile topsoil from proposed sand stockpile location on site.• Supply and install 150 mm dia. subdrain to underside of proposed sand stockpile location.• Excavate existing 760 mm layer of sand media to Sand Filter Cell #3 and #4.• Build onsite berm with existing sand media.• Supply and install 760 mm layer of new sand media to Sand Filter Cell #3 and #4.• Supply and install new transition couplings.• Install existing concrete pipe supports and fasteners, and concrete drain slabs.• Commission distribution piping.• Provisional Items as shown in the Tender Form.
