Description : Notice is hereby given by the City of Vancouver ("City") of its intent to contract with Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES) for the provision of Environmental Education and Public Outreach services. The City of Vancouver as represented by its Board of Parks and Recreation (Park Board) requires educational services provided to the public through the following programs: · Eco Rangers, education about local animals, plants and history, providing other important on-the-spot interpretation; · Co-Existing with Coyotes, the longest standing coyote co-existence program in North America; · Nature House Programming, education on various facts about the animals and plants of Stanley Park in Vancouver's only ecology center. SPES has the appropriate expertise to provide educational, stewardship, conservation and research services and has been operating in Stanley Park for 30 years. The above listed programs are exclusively customized by SPES to ensure consistency and compatibility with Park Board mission, vision and values. The contract will be for a two-year period with the option to extend for an additional four year-period. The contract is valued at approximately $233,200 CAD for the initial two-year period.
