Description : The City of Ottawa, hereinafter referred to as the City, is seeking offers from qualified firms to provide professional strategic advisory services, as described in the Annex A, Terms of Reference. BackgroundThe Emergency and Protective Services (EPS) Department of the City of Ottawa works directly with the people who, in a variety of ways, make a difference in our community each and every day. As a Department, EPS is responsible for protecting public health and safety, property, and quality of life in Ottawa through an integrated public safety model. The services and branches which make up the Department are By-law and Regulatory Services, Ottawa Fire Services, the Ottawa Paramedic Service, Public Safety Service, Public Policy Development, and Business and Technical Support Services. ObjectiveThe EPS Department is seeking external consultants to perform professional strategic advisory services. Strategic advisory professionals may be called upon to assist the Department with the following tasks: Review and comment on Departmental legislative planning, and policy and procedure development.
