Description : McMaster University Technology Services (UTS) is looking at implementing a complete backup solution that addresses the following issues by this Request For Proposal: a) Replicate certain highly important and critical systems in such a manner as to ensure they are readily operational should UTS loose one of its Data Centers. b) All backups need to be completed within the allotted backup windows. In Summary: 100TB total amount for protection, with approximately year over year growth of 10%-15% for 5yrs Please include additional costs for “out of anticipated” increases (approximately 100TB yr1 ; 115TB yr2 ; 130TB yr3 ; 145TB yr4 and 160TB yr5 ) Approximately 1000 VMware VM-s and 25 physical Intel architecture servers, in two primary physical locations. Backup set storage (repository) must be outside of the server room that each of the specific assets are deployed in. ( ie.
