Description:
The Town invites proponents to submit proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services for removal and disposal of existing bridge, pre-design, detailed design, tender document preparation, contract administration and overall project management for the replacement of the Kolb Bridge.
The main objective of the project is to prepare detailed design drawings, sediment and erosion control plans, construction specifications, cost/time estimate and secure all necessary approvals and final tendering documentations for the project and all Contract Administration work. The Town of Saugeen Shores planned to implement this project in following two phases:
Phase 1: Complete the Pre-design and Detailed design in 2025.
Phase 2 (in 2026): Bidding/Tender document preparation assistance and
Construction Management and Contract Administration.
Please note that subject to capital budget approval in 2026, the Consultant may be engaged for Phase 2 to undertake Bidding/Tender document preparation assistance and Construction Management and Contract Administration on behalf of the Town. The Town retains the right not to extend the contract. Proponents need to submit separate Schedules C: Pricing Proposals for Bidding/Tender document preparation assistance and Construction Management and Contract Administration (Phase 2).
