Description:
The City of St. Albert is requesting proposals from qualified, licensed and professional consulting firms to provide comprehensive review(s), and detailed design engineering services along with construction management services.
Proponents are immediately made aware that, to date, and by others, detailed design has been completed to a stage of approximately 60%. The successful Proponent will provide a comprehensive review of the existing design in its current state, make recommendations (if necessary), authenticate, and advance detailed design to an Issued for Tender and Construction stage. The scope of work will also include construction management services, where construction is anticipated to start and finish in 2024.
The two intersection sites are located at:
Giroux Road and Lockhart Drive; andMcKenney Avenue and Mission Avenue.Design changes and intersection improvements are associated to addressing a right turn movement of transit buses from the main corridor to the side streets. The resulting efforts shall ensure a transit bus may make these turning movements without encroaching into oncoming traffic or leaving the roadway surface.
