Description:
Crimson Lake Provincial Park offers year-round camping just 14 km west of Rocky Mountain House. This fun getaway at all times of the year offers many trails for hiking, mountain biking or skiing. During the summer, enjoy all the amenities the park has to offer including a boat launch, sewage disposal station, coin operated showers with laundromat, a campground store, playground and a large beach area that is great for swimming. Crimson lake Provincial Park consists of 161 powered sites (15 and 30 amp) as well as three group sites and one group use area. Nearby Twin Lakes Campground is a part of Crimson Lake PP and has 39 un-serviced sites on its own lake and amenities.This Project involves the Shower Building in the center of the Crimson Lake campground and its adjacent septic system. It was confirmed that the current septic system has failed and has been closed indefinitely.The Crimson Lake Shower building is a 2000 sq ft building that has 12 shower stalls, 10 toilet units and 8 sinks as well as laundry facilities.The Shower building was built in 2012. Wastewater from the shower building flows into a lift station and then pumping to septic tanks and then gravity fed into a septic field. The septic field is the original septic field to the Park that was built in 1977 and consists of Asbestos pipe and concrete blocks covered by 6”x8” timbers.There is no water usage/sewage data available for the shower building or park but our assumption for the shower building using similar fa...
