Description:
Alberta Parks Cypress Hills Provincial Park-s Marina was built in the 1970-s and is located within the townsite of Elkwater. The Marina was originally designed for the boats and use of that era, which makes the slips the wrong size for modern use. The existing piles are treated wood. These piles support the finger docks and walkways and have rotted away at the water line which has caused many issues. The land within the Marina has also started to slump leaving gaps and open spots along the walkways, which have caused the existing light standards to lean.In 2021-2022 assessment and design services were conducted that resulted in a design and decision that removed all finger docks and center land mass. Due to conflicting opinions, budgetary restraints and stakeholder consideration of this design, Alberta Parks is now re-issuing for information gathering, redesign and project management based off of the previous design to ensure full consideration of all options.The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to provide detailed design, secure approvals, prepare tender documents and perform project management and construction monitoring services for the redevelopment of sites.Location: NW 24-8-3-W4M49.661873329210096, -110.28998130269393
