Description:
The Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions is requesting proposals from contractors capable of conducting energy economy modelling and assessing the impacts of climate policies, individually, and in combination, as part of policy packages, over multi-decade time horizons. The contractor will use a modelling framework that represents B.C.'s economy, energy use, emissions profile, and climate policy landscape, among other things. The contractor will work with Ministry staff to produce an assessment of projected progress towards B.C.'s emissions reduction targets and a methodology report detailing the methods used and the assumptions made in the assessment. The contractor will provide Ministry staff access to the modelling enviroment to conduct supplemental analysis. The contractor will continue to update the model as needed over the duration of the Contract term and provide ad-hoc modelling services throughout the contract term on an as needed basis.
