- Project Overview The Cape Breton Regional Municipality is seeking proposals from qualified energy consulting firms to provide energy consulting services and builder training targeting code readiness for both fasttracked housing designs and the regional workforce. The successful proponent will be expected to optimize 6 fast-tracked housing designs acquired by CBRM through the Housing Accelerator Fund to achieve the highest tier of the 2020 NECB, while also developing builder training and engagement specific to the needs of CBRM. The project is funded through the Codes Acceleration Fund and requires completion by March 31, 2027. The successful proponent will be expected to work within the framework of CBRM's existing planning documents and contribute to the municipality's energy efficiency and climate change objectives
