Description:
This contract is with BC Timber Sales in the Kootenay Business area and the project consists of 529m of new road construction and the installation of one 18m Steel Girder Timber deck bridge. The road construction involves all phases of road construction including timber cut and removal, end haul, drill and blast rock, and surfacing. There is significant drill and blast rock on this job. It is strongly recommended that prospective bidders carefully review insurance requirements as set out in Schedule B. Timing and Scheduling Restrictions An active bear den and an elk wallow have been identified in TA2084 block 2 - adjacent to the WW4900 ext. All works are to take place between May 16 - July 1 and Aug 31 - Oct 31. N5-119A bridge installation has no timing restrictions.
