Description:
BCTS BC Bid Solicitation Standard The purpose of this major works contract is for design, fabrication and installation two bridges on the Dewdney 6000 FSR. Crossings at 0.03km and 0.85km had bridges that were damaged in the November 2021 storm event. As a result of the storm damage, the existing structures are insufficient in length to cross the widened creeks and have already been removed from the crossing locations. Per engineered plans and general arrangement drawings completed by Stonecroft Engineering Ltd., the crossing at 0.03 km now requires a 24.38m (80 foot) steel deck bridge and the crossing at 0.85 km requires a 33.53m (110 foot) steel girder bridge. The structures will need to be fabricated first, with the installations planned during the reduced risk instream fish timing window as both of the sites have high fish habitat value. The proposed timeline for fabrication of the structures is completion by March 20, 2026. These structures will then need to be stored until the proposed installation dates in August, 2026.
